365 Projects in 365 Days

My previous New Year's resolution was to be creative everyday with my Cricut, but since I've started my blog 2 years ago I have come across so many new exciting things like stamps, digi stamps, non-Cricut projects using chipboard, stickers, etc. and now my addition is the Silhouette Cameo. I will be posting many pictures and tutorials of all my projects. I will be making scrapbook layouts, cards, tags, embellishments and altered items. My goal is to create 365 projects in 365 days.

#48 Liz's Paper Loft Guest Designer

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be a guest designer for one of my favorite blogs.....  Liz's Paper Loft! I hope you are having a fast recovery Liz, and hopefully we can both get back to crafting soon! I am still taking a crafting break from having my baby just 11 days ago! Luckily I made this layout way in advance just for today's post.

This is a layout I made for my 2010 scrapbook album, this day we celebrated my mom's birthday at a local paleontology museum. The picture of us had a really ugly  background, so I edited the picture to black & white to make it look pretty! I used some old paper from a Summer DCWV paper stack and added some Prima flowers, bling, micro beads, glitter and butterflies. I also did some painting and stitching with my Sew Easy.

I used my lovely Silhouette Cameo to create the marquee shapes, butterflies, title, and the (brown) rolled paper roses.

Here's a list by name of the Silhouette files I used from the Silhouette store:
filigree butterfly set
rolled rose
party set (used for title)
7-page layout kit (used for marquee shapes)

I hope you all will come check out my blog which is 365 Days of Cricut where I post Cricut and Silhouette Cameo projects.

Be sure to leave a comment on all of the guest designer's posts on http://www.lizspaperloft.com/ to qualify for the blog candy!!

#47 Our First Cruise Layout and CAMEO HOP WINNER

Hi everyone! Today is a special post because I think this has got to be my all time FAVORITE scrapbook page of all time, I had this idea in my head of what this page would look like for a long time and it came out better then I ever imagined it! So you my friends are seeing history in the making LOL!

I made this for my 2010 scrapbook album, we went on our first cruise to the Mexican Riviera which went to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas it was a blast and after making this page I really really want to go on another cruise BAD!! Eventually I will get around to making my actual Cruise scrapbook album so stay tuned I have tons of ideas for my 100's of pics I took while on vacation.

For my layout I used my Cricut E2 and my Gypsy to cut everything out, I love using my Cameo so much but I need to balance them out so they don't get jealous lol! The carts I used for the Lifesaver, anchor, ship, and wave are from Life Is A Beach Cricut Cart. I designed the title using my Gypsy and the Birthday Cakes Cricut cart by welding everything together. I then placed everything upside down in my Xyron sticker machine and poured 4 different colored Martha Stewart glitters all over. I then added some silver eyelets to the anchor, lifesaver and of course had to add them to the windows of the ship to make them look like portholes on the cruise. I also added black and white twine from the Twinery and looped it around the page for a finished  look. Well I hope you enjoyed looking at my favorite scrapbook page so far!

Now onto the Cameo Blog Hop winner!!

The random winner of the crinkle ribbon is...... Michele from MS

Congrats Michele! You have 7 days to contact me at critterbugg365@gmail.com with your info so I can get your prize out to you

Project 1: Halloween Layout
For those of you who read my blog and Facebook know that I have been working very hard to finish my 2010 scrapbook album before my baby arrives here in about 2 weeks! So I decided it would be a great excuse to buy some very cool Halloween files from the Silhouette store to make my layout. The title and the pumpkin/spiderweb border were all from my Cameo. They are very very intricate and super skinny but they cut out so perfect! I also added some Lavendar Stickles to the font, "Raven" colored Glimmer Mist, and some chunky fabric brads, the stamp sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps. The grey crinkle ribbon here was hand dyed by myself!

Project 2: I Love You Anniversary Shaped Card
I made this card pretty large about 5x7 for my hubby for our Anniversary which was on 2.28 well, I haven't given it to him yet since he's been on deployment the last 4 months, luckily I will see him next Friday and I can't wait! I hope he likes his "guy" card! I also embossed everything with my Cuttlebug.

Project 3: Altered Composition Notebook
I made this altered composition notebook for my best friend Melyssa's birthday, she loves yellow, pink and owls! It looks really complicated but it was super EASY!! This gift took me about 30 minutes or less! I also added a rosette, black tulle and buttons. I embossed the letters with my Cuttlebug.

BLOG CANDY!!!!!!! I am giving away 3 yards of the gray crinkle ribbon hand dyed by yours truly! (This is the same color ribbon I used in my Halloween layout above) All you have to do is be a follower and leave me a comment telling me which one is your favorite project here! I will announce a winner on Monday 3/26! Good luck!

Here's a list by name of all the Silhouette files I used in my projects:
-Owl Cutout
-matchbox notebook note overlay
-i love you card
-halloween border
-happy halloween phrase

#43 Bunnies and Blossoms Banners Blog Hop

Hi everyone!! Welcome to the Bunnies and Blossoms Banners for the Kids Blog Hop hosted by the lovely ELLEN. If you are here from Jenny's blog you are in the right spot! For those of you who are new to seeing these type of banner blog hops, we make them for a children's hospital and donate them to be hung in the kids rooms how awesome is that!

Here' s a banner I actually made last year for Easter! Well I hope you don't mind me recycling it (Ellen),  I am in my last 2 weeks of pregnancy and my DR. just put me on bed rest so I haven't really been able to craft much because of this! So I decided to donate my Easter banner to the kids since I am not using it and it's been stored in a safe place lol!

The Cricut carts I used for this are Birthday Bash, Doodlecharms, Give A Hoot and I also used Peachy Keen stamps and embossed the letters with my Cuttlebug. The mushroom and flower papers are glittery  paper from DCWV.

I hope you all have a great time hopping around and be sure to leave a comment on all the blogs for a chance to win a GORGEOUS Cricut Dust Cover (secretly hoping I win it lol!!)

#41 SVG Attic DT Day Easter Bunny Treat Box

Hi everyone it's Sandra here and it's my day to post on the SVG Attic Blog , hope you are having a great St. Patty's Day so far! For today's project I made an Easter Bunny Treat Box holding Whopper Egg candies for my son's Easter basket. I LOVE the way this box is shaped, while I was assembling it a thought came to my mind...... this box would also be perfect to hold cards and envelopes and/or 4x6 photos! This box measures 4x6 inches and I stamped the sentiment and also added a little cotton tail using a Christmas pom pom from Joann's. I cut this box out using my SCAL 3 along with my Cameo.

The set I used here is called EASTER FUN and comes with a bunch of cute 3D Easter items!
